Numb felt like a good word for the feeling consuming her. It had only been a week since they had arrived back from Aurora, and with it the nightmares, the questions and the answers that came with them. ninja had given her some time to process and even now she was still trying to process everything that had happened on that planet. A cold pain crawled up her spine at the memories of what had happened, but even after all that they had gone through Ninja still had let Sin live. Encased in ice until the time he has turned to good once more. Her heart pounded in her chest as she remembered how close she had came to dying…. Even should have. With a heavy sigh she took one look at the clock and felt her heart sink farther into her chest.
Cursing under her breath she got up and looked around and walked over to a drawer tears in her eyes as she pulled out a bag and her armor. She quickly ran around the room panic and fear driving her every movement.
Whisper couldn't stay, not anymore.
Quickly stuffing the bag with small effects, she grabbed a hoodie to hide her armor under and lifted the hood over her helmet hiding her face in the shadows. Throwing the bag over her shoulder she moved out the door and into the deserted hallways.
Whisper could feel the camera watching her movements.
She knew that he was watching.
Tears streamed down her cheeks as she pushed the thoughts of her master and her friends aside. She knew what she was doing, and it was for the best….. wasn’t it?
Several minutes passed as Whisper continued her journey down the halls, sneaking past cameras and guards. It came all to naturally when she was like this... scared, panicked, afraid. Most would be all over the place but for her, it was easier to focus on solely escaping the prison she was in. Kicking out the vent cover she moved out into the darkened hanger. Replacing the vent cover she paused.
One of the camera’s adjusted it’s focus, zooming in on what she presumed to be in her direction.
A shaken breath escaped her as she choked back tears.
Would he stay there and wait? Watching and waiting behind his screens to see if she went through with her plan or not?
Or would he stop her from leaving Dissolution?
Whisper head was so full of questions and confusion that she didn’t know what to do. She felt to overwhelm, scared-terrified! And the only way she knows how to escape such feelings is to run.
Run, and never ever look back.
Forcing herself across the hanger bay she climbed a ladder leading up to one of the launch pads and moved over to the ship. A pain shot through her chest making her hiss, but instead it came out as a strangled sob. Why was this so difficult? She had left others behind that she had considered family but it had never been this painful…
Slowing her steps she came to the side of the ship and fell to her knees. A faint thunk sounded as her bag fell off her shoulder and onto the floor. Leaning up against the wall she caved in and cried quietly in the abandoned hanger.
“Wh...Why can’t I do this?.... Why can’t I leave?” She pleaded to the darkness.
A reply came....
..... But it was not what she had expected
